IAME was established in Italy in 1968 and along all these years, its primal focus has been the production of Karting engines and competitions.
With an average production of 5,000 engines per year, IAME is one of the main engines supplier to chassis manufacturers, teams, private organizers and, above all, IAME is one of the major partners of the Karting Federations. IAME is well known around the world for its seriousness and professional approach to Karting and of course, for its 47 World Titles.

In 2011 IAME decides to enter the Karting tyres market with the goal to further increase the positive perception of the IAME classes through the combination of correct products (engines, tyres, oil).
From the first introduction on the markets, the models K1H (slick) and the K1W (wet) are now employed with extreme success in more than 10 countries, in the X30 Challenge Europa, in the IAME International Final and in the X30 Euro Series, with a very positive feedback from Drivers and Teams.
In order to complete the range, KOMET Racing Tyres introduces the models K1D-H (slick) and K1D-W (wet) to cover all the Mini/Cadet class racing on IAME engines and offer the same quality and stability already provided in the Junior/Senior classes.
The specifications and quality of the KOMET Racing Tyres are kept under the strict control of IAME and the production is granted by a leading tyre manufacturer. The result is a top level product.
All proposed models are the result of extensive tests carried with experienced Teams involved in racing. Before reaching the actual features, IAME/KOMET Racing Tyres have carried comparisons among similar tyres in order to provide the same basic characteristics so to satisfy the demanding needs of Racing, but implementing the tyres in terms of quality, resistance to consumption and look.
