Important Updates (Bulletin 5 - X30 Southeast Asia 2017)

Hello Drivers, Teams, and Spectators –

LESS THAN 1 WEEK TO GO!

Please take note that the latest Official Programme and Supplementary Regulations have been published on the official website, as well as attached to this email.

To summarise, here are some important points to take note of:

DRY RACE TYRES (FOR ALL CATEGORIES)

Requirement has been reduced to 1.5 sets (comprising 3 front tyres and 3 rear tyres). Required quantity for races taking place in Malaysia will remain as 2 sets.

BRIEFING FOR TEAM BOSSES & PARENTS OF DRIVERS IN THE CADET CATEGORY

Please note that a mandatory briefing for team bosses and parents of drivers in the cadet category will be conducted on Saturday (15/4/17), immediately after the drivers’ briefing. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:25 pm in the KF1 auditorium.

PENALTY FOR FAILURE OF FRONT STARTERS TO COMPLETE STARTS

Infringement: Failure of front Starters to complete the Start to the satisfaction of the CoC after 2 Formation Laps. Penalty: Front Starters shall take the Start from the back of the Grid, at the discretion of the CoC.

TWINNING OF MASTER AND VETERAN CATEGORIES

The master and veteran categories will be run together but will still be classified separately.

ENGINE RESTRICTIONS

As a general reminder – For MSS and AAM license holders, engines must bear a factory marking from Singapore or Malaysia. AAM license holders, please take note: Engines purchased from the Malaysian distributor have no markings on the crankcase. A booth will be set up on Saturday from 9am to 1pm, for drivers & teams to receive a marking on their Malaysia-purchased engines prior to initial scrutineering. Other license holders are not subject to these restrictions

ORGANISATION COUNTER

The organisation counter will be located on the 2nd floor, to the left of the podium. Sales of kart number stickers and tyre vouchers, as well as shirt and pass collection will be conducted from the organisation counter. Redemption of tyre vouchers and engine marking for AAM license holders will take place beside the Parc Ferme in the pit lane.
